The combination of the 7 sprockets on the rear cassette and the 3 chainrings on the crankset is what results in the XC550 having 21 gears (7×3), which is plenty for any cyclist.

Due to its stable steering geometry, riding an XC550 puts less strain on your back whether you are weaving through some traffic on your commute to work or carving your way down a paved, open road at your local national park. Experienced riders looking for a high-performance machine are not going to consider the XC550 for their big rides but they may look at it for a second, winter bike.

Any replacement parts fitted to a product are covered for the remaining duration of the original 12-month product Warranty, and do not have their own warranty period. Other than 1 flat tire (last week), a couple of brake adjustments and a loose kickstand we have had no problems. The front chainring is a triple, meaning it has 3 large rings at the front of the bike, attached to the crank arm and pedals. Eurobike have confirmed that the XC550 bike can accommodate 32mm width tyres should you wish to change from the ones supplied.
